Koew just notified me that Boba Fett and other Star Wars actors are coming to Norway to celebrate the 30th anniersary of the first screening of the Star Wars movies in Trondheim. The article is still in Norwegian only, but the picture isn’t:
From the left you’ve got: Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Dave Prowse (Darth Vader), Kenny Baker (R2D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca). That pic surely cheered up my day.
Kenny Baker as R2D2, man, he almost looks like Weeman from Jackass. LOL.
What was it that Karl said?
“Little fellas” seem to get more out of life for free, since everything is bigger to them. Bigger portions, bigger treats.. :D
I’ve always preferred Star Trek over Star Wars which isn’t too “futuristic” to me.
So by analogy, a really sexy girl wearing Elizabethan era clothing would just get a shrug and “sorry, baby, but you’re just not futurustic enough for me.” How about goths? Goth women are pretty nice, yeah?
Anyway, I don’t think the two can be compared. While Star Trek aims to be a science fiction “vision”, Star Wars is a pulp fiction adventure. Almost like an opera.
Han Shot First. End of story.
In Star Trek, Kirk shot first (at the klingongs), then Picard tried to make peace with ’em warrior-bastards.
I love SW and ST both, but SW brings me alot of good memories from my youth. Like watching Return of the Jedi on television when I wasn’t old enough. Man that was great!
Mike, have you seen Commander Rob?

Brilliant!
Think of it as the “missing scenes” from ST:TNG.
Btw, what do you think of Babylon 5?
Thanks for the link! And I ddn’t really Babylon 5 or Deep Space 9. Star Trek is realistically futuristic — if you know what I mean.
…like…
It has got to do with the pyjamas, doesn’t it?
I think the ST people look a little bored. They seem to know so much about the universe, that there isn’t really much to keep yourself buissy with. Instead, they _monitor_ computers which are way beyond their own capabilities..
Weird.
Btw, I got a Picard log up here somewhere.. yes;

Well, in ST you can see that they’re into the future – because of everyone wearing the pyjamas. Though the girls seem to like the tight version.
Best CR-movie is ep II: Peace Treaty. Gotta love the holodeck.
