As some of you may be aware of, I’m a consultant at the Fafo Institute of Applied International Studies. I’m going to stay until July the 1st at least. So I get tangled up in world-business, conflicts and social research all over the place. Hence the link of the day.
Link of the day: www.Food-Force.com
Food Force is a free game that was launched just now to make 8-13yos more aware of the growing hunger in the world. It is produced by the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) and I thought it a good contribution to the world having it the link o the day, as I’ve just arrived from a satisfying lunch. You can either play it online or even download it to your own PC or Mac (230mb). Spread the world.
How much like the real U.N. is it? I wonder if players get bonus points for accepting bribes and raping the locals.
UN agency creates world hunger game
Actually there’s a quite interesting documentary on UN soldiers’ dealing with prostitutes in the Balkans.
People is, for good and worse, people.
