Link of the day: Save Toby!

Boys and girls; meet Toby! Toby was saved by Anonymous Coward (AC from now on) several months ago. He was found under AC’s porch, "soaking wet, injured from what appeared to be an attack from an alley cat. [he] took him in, thinking [the rabbit] had no chance to live from his injuries, but miraculously, he recovered. [AC] has since spent several months nursing him to health. Toby is a fighter, that’s for sure."

The thing is,
The 30th of June 2005 Toby will die!

..since apparently his rescuer will eat him:)
That is, unless you donate some cash to him, and make sure AC has got 50,000 USD on his account before the said date. Apparently, AC thinks the internet is full of suckers that will pay him for not eating his rabbit, assuming he actually will do it. Oh yes, he has recipies, and really – who cares?
Apparently, AC is not just a stoopid mofo, since 126 suckers have donated over 30,000 US Dollars already! Uhm.. you guys? This rabbit was done for. There are other rabbits out there. This rabbit is not special, it is not like the last rabbit out there, and rabbits really taste good!

Still, I think a lynch mob of angry treehuggers and animal activists would erupt spontaneously, if it hadn’t been for the fact that AC had covered up his tracks. A simple WHOIS search on the domain only returned GO DADDY SOFTWARE, INC. I’m not very evil. I just feel that paying for someone not to eat Toby the rabbit is taking it a bit too far. AC is playing on your emotions, people. The emotion he got from me was uncontrolled laughter (that made a few heads shoot up from the surrounding cubicles). Remember kids, even though Toby has a name, it doesn’t make him any different from the rabbit you ate last christmas. And think about Babe the pig. Don’t come here pretending you don’t like pork chops, eh? That’s it for the link of the day. Don’t forget to check out the image gallery. Toby is really cute:)
